West Virginia Hit with Flash Floods

Severe storms and flooding ravaged parts of West Virginia over the weekend. News reports have said as many as 400 buildings have been destroyed and around 1,000 have been severely damaged.

Fortunately, no deaths were reported from the storms. CNN reported that on Sunday, severe flooding caused residents to evacuate to higher ground. Parts of the Meramec and Big rivers had begun to rise above flood levels, and are expected to crest today a few feet more.
