The foreman and crew worked hard all day to insure the work was done and took care to do as little damage to the existing floor as possible. Forman David Stackpole was very polite and informative during each step of the process. He took the time to explain everything he and his crew was doing. Customer Testimonial

Homeowners in Ironton, OH sent a letter to us about their experience they had with us and how much they appreciated the work we did. The homeowners expressed to us that the whole experience they had with us, from start to finish, was amazing. The homeowners were very pleased with the work we did in their basement. The homeowners suffered from a wet basement for 39 years. Any time they decided to fix it, the plans fell through and they never moved forward. The homeowners never attend home & garden shows but found themselves at the home show in Huntington, WV because of a spur of the moment decision. The homeowners were disappointed with the show and were heading toward the exit when they spotted two young ladies at a table. The homeowner said she didn't even know what company they were with but the two young ladies effectively explained Basement Systems of West Virginia to them. The homeowners became very impressed and stated that was the first positive experience with our company. The homeowners did not take any information home with them from the home show, only our business card. Very soon after the home show, our call representative reached out to schedule the estimate. The homeowner stated that the woman working in the call center was extremely professional and polite. That was the second positive experience the homeowners had with our company. One of our sales specialists, Bryan Ungar went to the homeowner's house to perform the free estimate inspection. The homeowners said that Bryan was "the most impressive, knowledgeable and and professional company representative I have ever dealt with." The homeowners were on the fence and didn't know if they would move forward but Bryan sold them on our system. That was their third positive experience with our company. We scheduled a date to have the work done and the homeowner's experience with our company still amazed them. They said that the crew and the foreman, Dave Stackpole were amazing. The homeowners thought our crew was efficient, polite and professional. That was the fourth positive experience with our company. The homeowners recommend us to everyone they know and are very happy they decided to have us fix their basement. The homeowners said that they like how honest we were with them about everything and they had an amazing experience with Basement Systems of West Virginia from start to finish. The homeowners thanked us for making their home a safer and healthier place to live.

  • Before & After: WaterGuard Installation in Mount Clare, WV
    Before
Before & After: WaterGuard Installation in Mount Clare, WV
    After

WaterGuard captures water seepage through walls and leaks along the wall/floor junction, it's nearly invisible when installed (and carpet can be installed right over top of it). It's faster, easier and less expensive to install than exterior drainage systems, and it's rugged plastic construction will never corrode or decay.  The homeowners are ecstatic with the results and look forward to all the peace of mind and safe and dry basement days ahead of them!

WaterGuard drainage channel is an innovative interior drainage system designed to permanently solve basement water problems. Unlike French drains that are installed outside the foundation or alongside the footing, WaterGuard drains can’t clog with silt or plant roots.

They decided to install WaterGuard and a trench drain in their basement to channel unwanted water to their new SuperSump, which will then carry the water up, out, and away from the home- keeping the basement clean, safe, and dry.

Here you can see the trench has been dug out along the perimeter of the basement floor, and weep holes have been drilled along the wall.  The trench is dug just deep and wide enough to fit the WaterGuard inside, the weep holes are drilled to allow water to flow into the WaterGuard system that will carry the water to the sump pump that will then take the water up, out, and away from the home.

WaterGuard drainage channel has a patented profile that includes a wall flange with spacers for collecting wall seepage, channel holes that allow ground water to enter the drain line, and a large-diameter channel that can’t crush or kink like standard plastic drain tile can.

The major leakage zone in any basement is the perimeter, where basement walls meet the slab floor. Ground water that seeps through basement walls will flow down toward the floor.

Hydrostatic pressure during wet weather will often force ground water into the basement along the wall-floor joint.

Thanks to its unique profile, WaterGuard effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor. The drainage system transports all ground water to a sump pump, so that it can be pumped outside. Once the WaterGuard system is installed, you’ll hardly know that it’s there. The drainage channel is hidden beneath a layer of concrete. Only the top edge of the wall flange is visible.

    Before
Before & After: Waterproofing A Basement for a Family for Free in Clarksburg, West Virginia
    After

Tina and Keith Wilkinson of Clarksburg are like many West Virginia parents who have seen their incomes decline the past few years because of a struggling economy.

Both parents have lost jobs due to the economy, but have found other jobs that just don't pay as much as their previous jobs. Working hard to make ends meet like other parents in the Mountain State, these parents press on in order to provide for themselves and their son, Isaiah.

Faced with water in their basement, Tina and Keith wrote Basement Systems of West Virginia last winter, asking to be considered for the "free project" contest sponsored by the company.  This week, their dreams have come true, as a Basement Systems of West Virginia crew showed up to waterproof their basement -- at no cost to them.

The hard working crews installed the WaterGuard system along the inside perimeter of the foundation and hooked up the system to a TripleSafe sump pump. Together, the WaterGuard and TripleSafe will work together to permanently push the water out of the home.

The WaterGuard system is an effective and reliable way to solve water problems in a basement. It is a piping system that is installed along the inside perimeter of the foundation. WaterGuard is engineered specifically to not clog from soils under the floor. IT has large holes in the back to accept water and a flange with special segments. WaterGuard is a non-clogging alternative to other piping systems that sit in soil and very often clog.

After the WaterGuard system was installed, the crews hooked up the WaterGuard with the TripleSafe sump pump. The TripleSafe sump pump has three pumps to give complete protection. In the event that the first pump fails, the second one takes over. If your first pump can’t keep up, then the secondary pump runs at the same time- more than doubling capacity. Also, if your power goes out, an UltraSump Battery Backup pump takes over.

The homeowner are beyond thrilled with the results. "The first thing I would think about when it rained hard was how much water would be coming into our basement," Mr. Wilkinson said.  "After this week, we won't have to worry anymore.
