CLARKSBURG, W.VA. – Basement Systems of West Virginia is giving away 10 free radon test kits during the month January for National Radon Action Month. The free test kits can be picked up anytime between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at our office during the month of January.
The purpose of giving away free test kits it to give homeowners the idea that testing their home for radon is extremely important. We want to help homeowners understand the dangers of radon and teach them the best way to achieve lower radon levels.
“Radon is a serious health risk that is commonly overlooked, and we want to help create awareness for this important issue. Radon is the first leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and the second cause among smokers. Radon is an odorless, colorless gas, and the only way of knowing if you have radon is to get your home tested,” said Ricki Edwardson, owner of Basement Systems of West Virginia.
Basement Systems of West Virginia wants to help raise awareness for the dangers of radon. Understanding how to test your home, knowing what the radon level needs to be, and finding a solution is how Basement Systems of West Virginia can help homeowners across the state of West Virginia.
