Graded up to 8ft on both sides of the house toward the front, upward on the 25 ft side from an exposed, poured concrete slab at the ground level basement entrance. It had leaked for years until I bought it a few years ago and started working on the grading away from the house, the guttering, and tarred one side of the place. I am in no major hurry, but wanted to get an estimate from a high quality contractor you when you can, so I know what I am looking at and can start to appropriate the money. I had already dug up one side of the house last year, and tarred it down to the foundation and put in a perforated soil pipe, but need the front corner (8-9 feet below grade) and other side of the house done. Selling home, home inspection found cracks in cement block foundation. 1 vertical and several stair step all in one area of the basement. No water leaks ever seen, basement is not finished and Home was built in 1994. Require estimate & likely services for fixing.

House is not level

We have several terraced retaining walls that that are bowing, leaning and in some places the blocks are separating. They are each about 4 to 5 feet high on a slope perpendicular to the back wall of our home. There is also one a bit shorter that runs below our decks. I would like to get an idea how much it would cost to get the insulation redone in the crawl space of my 1000 sq foot home. I am also interested in getting the foundation waterproofed/painted. My home is built into the side of a hill so the crawl space on one side of the house is about 1 ft in height, and the other end is maybe 8 foot high. Since I am not ready to do this right now, a rough estimate of the possible cost without actually coming out would do fine. Thank you

I own a 165-year-old home with a totally unfinished basement with major dampness issues. My major concerns are these: 1) A sump pump was installed by the previous owner, not sure if it's working. 2) There appear to be dirt walls behind an ancient coal bin...I want to make sure the house is properly supported back there and if possible, try to block some of the dampness coming through this area.

We closed on our latest home on October 1st and found out during our first quarterly pest inspection (Oct 5th) the insulation in our crawl space and partial basement was installed incorrectly and/or may be original to the home (built in 1975). Looks like we will need a complete overhaul in both of these spaces (i.e. pull out old, create correct vapor barrier, and install new insulation. 12ft x 40ft x4"-6"' slab parallel to the back of the home has settled 2"-4" on the side adjacent to the house. Would like to get an estimate to jack it bsck in place.

I am in the process of prepping my basement for finishing. When I removed the old insulation that was pinned to the cement walls I noticed a diagonal crack in one wall. The basement has had a few in the past prior to buying the home at the end of 2013. We can see the repairs in a couple of places. Either this one is new or it was missed. I would like to have it assessed before I finish the basement off and then find out I have a repair to do. Could I have you come in and look at the crack and tell me if it needs repaired please? I have standing water at places in my crawl space. I have a crawl space dehumidifier in use but it can't handle everything.

I would like to have an egress window installed on one side of my basement and have a smaller, casement style window installed on the other side to provide external light for a new office space. Egress window side has finished interior, future office space is unfinished. Foundation is cinder block construction 8" with exterior brick. Assuming a 12" block further down below used as brick ledge. Have already had engineer provide specifications for headers. Thanks.

Damp dirt crawl space, mildew on block walls. The main reason I'm looking into this is the ongoing mouse problem in the crawlspace. I've sealed all access to the house but since insulating with fiberglass between the floor joists there is a constant smell of urine from them tunneling/nesting in it. I'm constantly putting out traps but that only gets them after they've already caused the problem. The house is on a sloped lot so the crawlspace is slightly sloped which makes it easy for the mice to burrow into it. The footers on the uphill side only go down two courses of block below grade. Not even sure if this was code in 79' when it was built. Basically a kit cabin I've converted to year round living ( replaced entry door, slider, windows, insulated exterior walls and installed vinyl siding). The house is 26'x32'. I was looking into finding someone to spread concrete over the dirt floor when I came across your add for encapsulation with CleanSpace. If this will keep the mice out then this might be the way to go.
